Brewing guidelines:

3-5 grams per 100ml: infuse at 80-85C (180-185F) for 2-3 minutes; gradually increase steeping time for subsequent infusions.


Liu An Gua Pian is a popular green tea in China. Liu An is the city where it is produced. Gua Pian refers to its shape, like that of sunflower seed in ancient China. Our superior Liu An Gua Pian tea is from Qiyun Mountain, Jinzai County. Unlike many other green teas, this tea uses no buds or stems. Tea farmers only use the leaves. The production process is the most complicated of any green tea. It includes killing the enzyme in a wok, shaping the leaf in another wok, baking it, re-baking it and reheating it a final lengthy time before trimming the leaves. One cup of this tea in the morning or afternoon refreshes and lets the drinker enjoy the beauty of its leaves.
